Recipe: Mock Tuna

mock tuna

Ingredients
1 carrot
1/2 cup sunflower seed, soaked overnight
3 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon grape seed oil
Pinch of salt

Direction
Blend everything till it looks like the above image

Note
I like it sour but my dad doesn’t like it, so you might want to add the lemon juice a tablespoon at a time to see if it would suit you
I really like the oily taste, so if you want something drier, feel free to use lesser oil, or skip the coconut oil.
Coconut oil has a really distinct flavour so you might want to swap it for a milder tasting oil like grapeseed oil if you don’t like the strong coconut taste
Add some dulse, if you want some fishy flavour
If you want something creamy, you could add 1/2 cup of cashew nuts and adjust the seasoning accordingly
If you want it to look white, like tuna, drop the carrot
You could add it to salad, use it as a spread or eat it just as it is 😀
